Exigo Architecture and the City of El Paso proudly celebrated the Grand Opening of the Mexican American Cultural Center (MACC) and the renovated Cleveland Square Park on March 22!
The event kicked off with vibrant performances showcasing the rich heritage of the Mexican American community, from traditional dance and music to contemporary artistic expressions. Attendees of all ages came together to celebrate El Paso’s diverse cultural fabric.
A highlight of the day was the unveiling of the MACC, a stunning new facility in the heart of the city. Its modern design honors El Paso’s history while providing state-of-the-art spaces for creative expression. Guests enjoyed breathtaking rooftop views of the skyline and mountains, reflecting on the significance of this cultural hub. Inside, the auditorium, black box theater, and galleries showcased works by local and regional artists, reinforcing the center’s role as a beacon of creativity, education, and community engagement.
The newly revitalized Cleveland Square Park, designed with Ten Eyck Landscape Architects, provided the perfect setting for the festivities. Its transformation ensures it will remain a vibrant gathering place for relaxation, events, and outdoor activities for years to come.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this project possible. This was truly a day to remember, and we look forward to seeing the MACC and Cleveland Square Park continue to enrich El Paso’s cultural landscape!.
