The Library designed aimed to create a welcoming environment for all audiences. The zonal scheme easily identifies the different attributes of the library such as collections, public electronic workstations, user seating space, staff work space, special use space and a 100 seats capacity meeting space for neighborhood use. Additionally, the Library has a child reading area, quiet room, courtyard, study-rooms for area students as well as with internet service. It has a capacity to store 90,000 volumes with 75 seats and a staff of 15. This energy efficient building was constructed with “Exterior Insulated Panels” made from concrete and Styrofoam with above-the-norm R Value.
