This new stand-alone, 60,000 Sq. Ft. two-story building on the existing Campus addressed the College’s increasing demands by adding administrative support spaces; offices, meeting rooms, small and large conference rooms, and multiple areas with flexible spaces. It also increased the student’s classrooms, computer labs, a multi-purpose room, and a flexitorium. The building design provides multiple collaboration spaces furnished with adjustable system furniture to support different learning styles. Exigo created a new master plan taking into consideration the future growth of existing buildings.
The master plan promotes the continuity in the flow of buildings, enhances the campus environment, and creates new outdoor spaces for student interaction, as well as places for individual learning. It also successfully addressed safety by minimizing the disruption of current student activity during the construction and future additions. The design followed the existing campus architectural language blending the traditional Mission style with state-of-the-art technology, open lobby, and public spaces.
