ClientHouston Community College System
LocationHouston, Texas
Budget$7.8 Million
Completed2005

With the voter’s support and approval, the Houston Community College System passed on November of 2003 a Bond issue that would provide funding for the construction of 4 new Learning Hubs, 4 Science and Technology Buildings and the remodeling and additions of 5 other projects in as many buildings. In September or 2004, HCC hired Perspectiva to develop the space program for The Northeast Science and Technology Building and insure that it incorporates the latest in technology while meeting the construction budget set by the Board. The Science and Technology Building will incorporate chemical, biology and physics laboratories as well as the latest in forensic and process technology. Since this campus is closely related to the surrounding petrochemical industry, this facility will also include Petrochemical Engineering Technology as well as Instrumentation Technology. This new building will be the cornerstone for this campus as it will become a feeder to this fast-growing industry
