Exigo Honored at the 2026 AIA Design Awards
Exigo is proud to share that La Nube STEAM Discovery Center has been recognized with the AIA El Paso Jury Prize at the Design Awards Gala, honoring its bold architectural vision and meaningful community impact.
We extend our sincere thanks to Jury Chair and Guest Speaker Gretchen Stoecker, AIA, Director at Kevin Daly Architects (KDA), for her thoughtful evaluation. We are deeply grateful to the El Paso Community Foundation Community Foundation, The City of El Paso Texas and La Nube’s Board of Directors for the extraordinary opportunity to help shape a new cultural landmark in downtown El Paso—one that sparks curiosity, creativity, and discovery for visitors of all ages.
Snøhetta led the design team, with Exigo serving as Architect of Record. In close collaboration with Gyroscope Inc, Arup, Available Light, SER Group, Greenway Studio, RSM Design, and Futureforms, this incredible team transformed a shared vision into a dynamic, immersive experience.
We proudly recognize Broaddus & Associates for their project management leadership and Jordan Foster Construction LLC as Construction Manager, whose expertise played a vital role in bringing La Nube to life.
We also celebrate Exigo’s Alexandra Cortez on being named Woman of the Year, and congratulate Paulina Lagos, AIA, of Exigo and Elaine Molinar of Snøhetta for their recognition as Women Shaping Architecture by Women in Architecture El Paso.
We couldn’t be prouder of our team and collaborators for realizing such an inspiring project. We look forward to continuing our work designing transformative spaces that ignite imagination, learning, and wonder for generations to come.
