UTEP College of Business Administration Master Plan
Client University of Texas at El Paso
Location El Paso, Texas
Project Size 92,725 SF
Completion Date TBD
Working closely with UTEP’s Planning and Construction Department, the College of Business faculty, and the Provost’s Office, Exigo developed a comprehensive Master Plan for the College of Business building. The plan’s primary objectives included relocating the MBA program from the OSJ Building in Downtown El Paso, renovating existing restrooms to better accommodate students with mobility restrictions, addressing increasing student enrollment, and creating environments that support collaborative learning.
Additional goals included providing new faculty offices, enhancing the professional image of the College, improving the overall facility to support continued national accreditation, and addressing deferred maintenance issues. These upgrades encompassed mechanical, electrical, fire protection, technology infrastructure, and new audiovisual systems. Exigo facilitated a series of stakeholder workshops and developed multiple planning alternatives to accommodate the College’s growth and emerging academic initiatives. The team’s solution balanced programmatic needs with budgetary constraints and was strategically phased to minimize disruption to ongoing academic operations during construction.
