Town of Horizon City Municipal Facility
This 21,000 SF civic facility, currently under construction, will house the Town of Horizon Police Headquarters/Station and a temporary Town Hall and Municipal Courts, serving as a central anchor for future civic development. The site is organized around a future central plaza located at the front of the building, flanked by two planned civic structures, creating a cohesive urban composition and a strong sense of civic identity. The flexible floorplan for the Municipal Courts and Town Hall encompasses a jury assembly room, judge chambers, holding cells, clerk’s office, and general public sitting. During the day, the building will serve as municipal court, while after-hours, it will house City Council meetings.
The Police Station component includes administrative offices, holding cells, a fitness room, locker facilities, and a kennel. Site circulation is carefully planned with two public parking areas located on either side of the building to serve police staff and municipal court/town hall visitors, along with a secured parking area designated for judges and marked and unmarked police vehicles. A rear sally port provides secure access to holding cells. Comprehensive IT and security design services include a radio transmission tower and intelligent access-control systems that establish multiple levels of security throughout the facility, ensuring safe and efficient operations for staff, officials, and the public.
